Lois Fried, CPP is a Regional Trainer with ADP, Inc in Northern California. Lois has been in the payroll industry for over 30 years and a member of the APA for 22 years. Lois is a past President of the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter. She has also served two terms as a Board of Advisor member of the APA. Lois is Chapter Historian for the SFBAC and currently serves on the BNA (Payroll Administration) Advisory Board. When not talking payroll, Lois enjoys spending time with her family and

Currently employed as the Sr. Manager of Payroll, Stock Administration, and 401(k) at NVIDIA, Corp., she keeps busy utilizing her experience with Expatriates, Relocation, Multi-State Taxation, Accounting, and most recently with system conversions for Time & Attendance, 401(k) and Employee Equity Program Administration. Sherry is currently the HR Operations/Payroll Manager for the Clorox Company. Prior to Clorox she managed payroll accounting at Mckesson, payroll operations at Sun Microsystems, and PG&E Corporation. She has been in payroll over 15 years and earned her CPP in 2003. She has a Bachelors degree in Accounting, and is a member of the American Payroll Association. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and her Jack Russell Terriers.

Marcela McCarthy is Director of Payroll Services for McKesson Corporation, a healthcare services company. Prior to joining McKesson, she was Payroll Manager at American President Lines (container transportation and shipping services) and The Sharper Image. Marcela has been in the payroll industry for 30+ years, and has held the designation of Certified Payroll Professional since 1987.
Marcela is an active member of the American Payroll Association at both the local and national levels.
She is currently a member of the APA’s National Speakers Bureau and Strategic Payroll Leadership Task Force. Additionally she has been a board member of the California Payroll Conference since 2003.

He has been an instructor for the San Francisco Chapters CPP study classes. Mary is currently the Payroll Manager for NVIDIA Corporation. Prior to NVIDIA she was an Accounting Manger for Intersil Corporation and managed G/L, Payroll, Accounts Payroll and Stock Administration. She has over 30 years of experience in Finance and Payroll and earned her CPP in 2003. She is a member of the American Payroll Association. Mary is currently serving on the South Bay Payroll Association Board as Past President/Board Advisor and has held the positions of President, Treasurer and Director of Education. Mary continues to help others prepare for the CPP exam. She teaches the Pay Train Learning classes at West Valley Community College and teaches the CPP study group for the chapter. At the APA National level she is on the Hotline Referral Service, Strategic Payroll Leadership Task Force Committee and CHAMPS. In 2009, Mary won the Donald W Shaper Education Grant. In her free time she enjoys spending time doing home remodeling, gardening and wine tasting.
