Welcome to the new California Payroll Conference, re-established in 2025 as a non-profit organization. The intent of the California Payroll Conference (CPC) is to be an annually held event that gives attendees the opportunity to:
- Participate in a dynamic conference with ample opportunity to network with peers and vendors alike
- Receive educational learning opportunities that cater to payroll and payroll-adjacent professionals, including RCH credit opportunities
- Offer innovative programs that empower and inspire our members to excel in every aspect of payroll, setting new standards for innovation and performance
The California Payroll Conference has no paid employees or officers. The individuals who help organize the conference, are professionals who are involved in Payroll, and have decided to gift and donate their time to plan and execute the Conference with the mindset of maximum enjoyment and education for all attendees.

If you are thinking about attending the California Payroll Conference, we’d love to have you. The CPC offers irreplaceable opportunities for networking with other conference attendees, exhibitors and sponsors. This network can help carry and uplift a Payroll professional throughout their career. Annually, the presentations are reviewed and carefully selected to ensure that up-and-coming topics are addressed with leading experts from a variety of fields coming in to share their knowledge and expertise. Some examples include Payroll vendors and professionals, lawyers, CPAs, and key government agents. Sessions are built with maximum benefit in mind for attendees– allowing for the educational opportunity to expand beyond the PowerPoints and allow for discussions to be promoted and welcomed in the classroom.
Historically, Payroll volunteers have been promoting a California statewide event since 1987. Over time, the statewide event continued to grow to where we are today – operating as a large non-profit organization offering an annual event for professionals to come and enjoy the irreplaceable experiences the CPC offers.
